Advantages
The sensor is inserted into the tripod, and then, by pressing the lever, the required pressure of the sensor tip on the surface of the part being tested is provided. This allows for the most accurate measurements, as the measurement variance is reduced by a factor of two when using the tripod.
For the U-100 probe (10 kgf), using a tripod is mandatory. For the U-50 probe (5 kgf), using a tripod is not mandatory, but recommended.
