HARDNESS REFERENCE MEASURES
HARDNESS REFERENCE MEASURE GUARANTEE - 2 YEARSSINCE JANUARY 2013 HARDNESS REFERENCE MEASURES ARE AVAILABLE IN BRANDED METAL CASES (PIECE BY PIECE AND SET)
APPOINTING
The hardness measures of the reference first and second digits (hereinafter referred to as measures) are intended to reproduce the hardness of metals on all standardized hardness scales. The measures are applied in the verification and calibration of instruments for measuring the hardness of metals (hereinafter referred to as hardness measures).
DISCRIBING
Measures are made in the form of rectangular or round-shaped tiles made of carbon or alloy steel according to GOST 9031-75 "Measures of hardness are model. Specifications."
The MET Center has a license for production 000087-IR issued by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.
The measures are manufactured in MTP-MET, MTSR-MET, MTB-MET, MTV-MET, MTW-MET and are designed to reproduce the hardness of metals on Rockwell, Super-Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers and Shore scales, respectively.
- MTP-MET: Rockwell (HRA, HRB, HRC)
- MTSR-MET: Super-Rockwell (HRN, HRT)
- MTB-MET: Brinell (HB)
- MTV-MET: Vickers (HV)
- MTW-MET: Shora (HSD)
LABELLING
According to GOST 9031, the lateral surface of the reference hardness measure shall be applied:
- trademark of the manufacturer (Center «MET»);
- verification month; the number of the measure assigned by the body of the state metrological service that carried out the initial verification;
- the hardness of the measure with the hardness scale symbol.
The working surface (in the lower right corner) is marked with the State span stamp belonging to the state metrological service body that performed the verification.
BENEFITS
- Minimum surface hardness variation;
- Long-term stability;
- custom fabrication (all hardness scales and ranges);
- delivery by piece as well as sets (GOST 9031).
COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL STANDARDS
- ISO 6506, ISO 6507, ISO 6508
- ASTM E92, ASTM E384, ASTM E18, ASTM E10
- GOST 9031, 8.064-94, GOST 8.063-07, GOST 8.062-85, GOST 8.516-01.
CERTIFICATION
The MTP-MET, MTSR-MET, MTB-MET, MTV-MET, MTW-MET type hardness reference measures are registered in the State Register of Measuring Instruments of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine and have certificates of approval of measuring instruments.
UNITY OF HARDNESS MEASUREMENTS
The first and second degree hardness reference measures are a means of measuring hardness subject to mandatory verification. Primary and periodical verification of measures is carried out by bodies of the State metrological service accredited to the right of verification of the means of measuring hardness. The interval is two years.
According to the current state verification schemes, measures of the first class are graded only on the state hardness standards of Russia (the custodian of hardness standards - FGUP "VNIIFTREE"). For first-level measures, the hardness comparators (working hardness 1 grade) are tested. The second-tier measures are graded on the basis of solid comparator measures applied in bodies accredited for the verification of hardness instruments. The second degree measures shall be used to verify the working hardness measurement equipment (stationary, portable and portable hardness).
